Our First Goal, we've made it

In my previous post here in my blog which is Goal in Sikat ang Pinoy, I mentioned that we have some goal that we must achieve. One of our goal is be on the first page of the Google SERP if you search for the key phrase "sikat ang pinoy" and finally we've made it. Yeah, I was so very happy that we achieve already one of the goal in this contest. It not just the end our our first step on the G SERP but we rank as 9th place in the first page.

We had done already what we know on optimization. Blog reviews, building quality links, commenting on some weblogs and sites and many more. Now, I am done with my experiment and I found out that it is very effective. The responces so far are good and it is good to know that we are rising from the other contestants with our entry sikat ang pinoy - satsatan. But I do hope that we can maintain what we have on the rankings now. I know that in this contest, it is not permanent but I will maintain the activity in sikat ang pinoy.

Goal in Sikat ang Pinoy

What's is your goal in joining in sikat ang pinoy? Each of us who is joining the Palarong SEO has it's own goal. Gaining some knowledge, information and experience in search engine optimization, to show their talents and skills, or just win the cash prize. Maybe that is some of the reasons behind that. But for me, I was thinking before I join this contest, what would be my goal that I should attain or achieve.

Since I started with my entry Sikat ang Pinoy - Satsatan, I came up with only 2 goals. First to be on the top of the Google SERP with the key phrase, "sikat ang pinoy". Second, even i can't win in this contest, atleast I have learned more knowledge and I had already enhanced my skills in search engine optimization.

Running Out of Time in Sikat ang Pinoy?

Getting higher rankings in Google Serp is getting tougher and tougher each and everyday passes. We don't know if who is really on the top with the key phrase sikat ang pinoy. Sometimes, your entry is on the top and sometimes on the bottom. We can't predict the rankings as of now. You have to focus and still have a great time in monitoring everday rankings of your opponent. But is there any chances to win in this contest? Is it running out of time?

Chances of winning is always there. It depends on you, your chance of winning depends on how you focus on your goal and on how you build your links in your entry. But its not just easy as you think in building a link. You have to know if your links are good or not! Some optimizer are just building links with no value. It seems that all they want is link, they don't care if it can cause bad for their entry or not. It is called spamming. This is the practice that most of the Search Engine Optimizers are engaging with. Just to rank their site in just a couple of days or weeks.

But still spamming is not the answer, even you are running out of time. You still have a more time to optimize with a good links that you are building. The quality of the links that you build is very important and it makes your blog or site more relevant to the others compares who uses spam in optimization.

I think I have still more time for Sikat ang Pinoy. More time in optimizing it and still have to focus on the goal which I wanted to achieve. To be on the top of the google serp with the key phrase Sikat ang Pinoy.

Update in Sikat ang Pinoy

Sikat ang Pinoy is one of the reason why some of the bloggers are now very hectic. They are busy making blog reviews for their entries, building links, having some comments in some blogs, optimizing them with the key phrase required and monitoring the Google SERP if their entry are visible or not. Well, I am one of those bloggers that joins the Sikat ang Pinoy – Palarong SEO 2009 of the Philippines. I am very challenged to join this contest, why? because this is unique contest I’ve ever known. Why is it unique, because each participants should have a unique content but should use Filipino Language as the primary medium in the contest. I have never optimized Tagalog site and lately I’ve found out that its is very different in optimizing blogs, in English language and Filipino Language.

That’s why I joined the contest, to have fun and experience to optimize a blog which contains tagalog language. So now, where I am in the Google SERP. Yesterday, I checked the Google SERP with the datacenter that the host is providing and I found my entry at the 4th page of Google. Well, I am happy at least that my entry is on the 4th page. It is not far enough on the 1st page. I am still hoping that my rank will increase this week even at least at 2nd or 3rd page of the Google. I am still conducting search engine optimization techniques and experimenting on how the Google crawls for my entries. I have no choice but to wait till all of my works will effect on my entry right away. Patience is the key to success here at Sikat ang Pinoy.
